The Environmental Balance: Mining with Responsibility in Villa Magante.
Environmental sustainability is not just a policy for Inversiones MarcelFelix—it’s a cornerstone of our mission and identity. Before the launch of the Tosca Magante Mine, our team partnered with GEOESTESA S.R.L. and SERAFA S.R.L. to conduct rigorous soil and environmental impact studies, ensuring that every operational decision was grounded in science and accountability. These studies went far beyond baseline compliance, mapping local ecosystems, evaluating long-term land stability, and establishing safeguards for biodiversity conservation.
In May 2022, we were granted a five-year Environmental License from the Ministry of the Environment—formal recognition of our commitment to safe, ethical mining. This license is more than a regulatory green light; it is a living framework guiding daily practices such as controlled water recycling systems, dust suppression technologies, strict waste segregation, and rehabilitation plans that restore land to productive use once extraction is complete.
From waste management to water usage, habitat protection, and community health, every stage of the extraction process is carefully designed to minimize ecological disruption while maximizing local benefit. Our environmental protocols are continuously monitored and audited, with adaptive management strategies ready to respond to new challenges. This proactive approach ensures that the Tosca Magante Mine is not only an engine of economic growth but also a model for responsible resource development in the Dominican Republic.
